Got

We
will be using the Evite System to coordinate food
for Temple events. You will receive an email from
Evite. Follow the link, and you will be take to a
webpage with details about the event and places to
R.S.V.P. and to indicate what foods you will bring,
whether you are available to help set up or clean
up, etc. This is a legitimate email from the Temple,
and is not a virus or spyware. Using
the Evite system will allow us to better coordinate
our menus for these events.

Why
is Am shalom unique? Because of the closeness of our community
and our ability to allow participation for everyone.
As a lay-led congregation, we all work together to foster
Judaism in South-Central Kentucky.
Am
Shalom is the Jewish Congregation of Bowling Green, Kentucky. We follow the practices
of Reform Judaism, and are a member of the Union for Reform Judaism (formerly the Union
of American Hebrew Congregations). Am Shalom serves the
population of a wide area of South-Central Kentucky and the
northern portion of the Nashville Metropolitan Area, including
Robertson and Sumner Counties in Tennessee. We are located
55 miles north of downtown Nashville. Am Shalom is a
member of the Nashville Jewish Federation.
Bowling
Green, the 3rd-largest city in
Kentucky, is the most rapidly-growing city in
the state. The Bowling Green Metro Area, with a
population of 105,000, is the home of Western
Kentucky University (one of the top comprehensive
universities in the Southeastern United States),
Mammoth Cave
National Park, the National

Most
services take place at:
Presbyterian Church of Bowling Green, 2nd floor
Boardroom (elevator available).
1003 State Street (corner of 10th and State)
Please enter from the 10th Street entrance.
Directions
From Scottsville Road:
Follow Scottsville Road until it becomes Broadway,
and eventually dead-ends into State Street.
Turn Right on State Street. The Presbyterian
Church is at the corner of 10th and State. Because
10th Street is one-way from College to State,
you will need to go around the block to get
to the parking lot across the street from the
building. Continue down State Street, go Left
on Main Street (at the Square), turn Left on
College Street, then Left on 10th Street.
From
Western Kentucky University:
Normal Avenue becomes State Street. Take State
Street downtown to the Square. Because of one-way
streets, turn Left on Main Street (at the Square),
Left on College Street, and Left on 10th Street.
From
I-65 North or South:
Take the Cemetery Road, State Route 234 exit
(Exit 26). Cemetery Road becomes Fairview Avenue,
then the name becomes 6th Street. Turn Left
on College Street and Left on 10th Street.
From
the West/Natcher Pkwy/Russellville Rd (Hwy 68/80):
Take Highway 68/80 (Russellville Road) to University
Blvd. Turn Left on University Blvd. The road
will curve to the Right and become one-way.
You will see the Kentucky Museum & Library
on the Right. In front of the museum, the road
will spit in two. Take the fork to the Left,
which becomes Kentucky Street. Turn Right on
13th Street, then Left on Center Street. Turn
Right on 10th Street.
Parking
Information
Please enter the building from the 10th Street
entrance. You may park on State or 10th Street,
or across the street in the “Reserved
Parking” lot (which is entered from 10th
Street). Please note that 10th Street is one
way, with traffic coming from College Street
to State Street.
